Description
This reel was used for Atlantic Salmon and small salt water fish like Bone Fish. Made in the late 1940s or early 1950s. No cracks in rubber side plates, has a beautiful patina. It has a gut fly line on reel. The drag is in good condition and reel is ready to fish.
Zwarg came from Germany to New York and worked for Edward Vom Hofe, making fly reels before he started his own company in Brooklyn, New York. After one year in NY, in 1946, he moved his company to St. Petersburg, Florida. He only made reels for 11-14 years, his reels are very collectible.
